The humanitarian organization FXB is strengthening its support for artisan families in Mongolia and Myanmar. An online shop has just been created to sell their products in Europe.
The François-Xavier Bagnoud Association is giving an extra boost to artisan families in Mongolia and Myanmar. At the beginning of this summer, the NGO launched an online shop based in Sion, Switzerland, to sell their products across Europe. For over two years, these families have faced particularly difficult daily life. While the VillageFXB economic development program has enabled them to establish their businesses and gradually move towards financial independence, they are now bearing the brunt of the shortages and inflation caused by Covid-19 and the conflict in Ukraine. The situation is even more critical in Myanmar, which experienced a coup in February 2021. Through this online shop, the association hopes to provide its artisans with a basic income.
