Who is FXB?
FXB International is a non-governmental organization that fights
fighting against extreme poverty and social injustice since 1989.
OUR VISION IS A WORLD WHERE EVERYONE HAS A CHANCE NOT ONLY TO SURVIVE, BUT ALSO TO PROSPER.
In all our programs, we work with families, women, and men who struggle every day to regain economic and social independence. This online shop was created to help them! Many of them are incredibly talented at creating beautiful handcrafted items in the numerous countries where we work, and we wanted to share their work with you!

Who are our artisans?
By purchasing our products, you are helping families to prosper.
The items for sale in our online store are handcrafted by current and former participants of our VillageFXB programs in Mongolia and our vocational training program in Myanmar. Most of the women created these products as part of their small businesses.

FXB in Mongolia
FXB in MongoliaFXB is present in the Dornogovi aimag , a province located in the southeast of the Gobi Desert, a vast, flat, and desolate expanse. More than 23% of its 67,000 inhabitants live in extreme poverty, with an unemployment rate of 68%. The majority of families, both nomadic and settled, depend on livestock farming (goats, sheep, cows, horses, and camels).
FXB is running a VillageFXB economic and community development program there to help families in this desert region create or seize opportunities in their own region rather than migrating to Ulaanbaatar.

FXB in Myanmar
FXB in MyanmarFXB began its operations in Myanmar in 1992 to ensure the economic and social reintegration of 95 Burmese girls freed from forced prostitution.
FXB then created a program in Myanmar to offer them an alternative to prostitution and allow for individualized reintegration, based on each woman's aspirations and abilities. The program grew rapidly, and FXB subsequently built its own vocational training center to extend its intervention to young people in extremely precarious situations and people infected with HIV/AIDS.
Since then, FXB has been developing complementary programs that promote respect for fundamental human rights and social justice in several states of Myanmar.
